AMC is looking for a Treasurer. Could that be YOU?  The Treasurer is an important member of the Board of Trustees responsible for overseeing financial operations.  You do not need to be an accountant, but you need to be detail and process-oriented.  Duties are cyclical and involve ensuring weekly deposits are accurately documented and completed, providing weekly invoices and deposit information to the accountant electronically, serving on the committee that oversees chapel investments, maintaining records and making those records available to the yearly financial audit committee, preparing tax donation letters, and as necessary liaising with the county on tax or incorporation matters.  In addition, the Treasurer forwards the accountant’s monthly reports to the Board of Trustees before each meeting and prepares a few remarks highlighting any noteworthy insights for that month.  The Treasurer provides a similar report during biannual membership meetings.  Lorena McElwain, who served as our last treasurer for several years will train any person(s) in the fall of 2025 at a mutually agreeable time so you can decide if the role is for you come January.  This is a great opportunity to give back to AMC!
